Works was typically installed by computer companies who wanted to bundle their PCs with cheap and effective software programs. Microsoft Works was a useful and cost effective program, aimed at home and small business users who didn’t want to spend too much money. The last edition of Works to be released was in September 2007. Microsoft Works has since been discontinued thanks to the popularity of more advanced suites such as Microsoft Office.
